 At Blossom Educational Services, our Psychoeducational Assessments provide a comprehensive understanding of how a student learns and what supports will best help them succeed. Assessments are conducted by a Registered Psychologist qualified to diagnose Specific Learning Disorders (including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), and intellectual disorders.

We assess cognitive and academic functioning to develop a clear learning profile outlining strengths, challenges, and individualized needs. Families receive a detailed report and review session with practical recommendations for school and home.

When appropriate, results may lead to a diagnosis, individualized programming, and/or referral to the Blossom Dyslexia Center. Our support does not end with a diagnosis. We continue to work with families by providing academic guidance for students and helping parents navigate the education system, understand recommendations, and advocate effectively within schools.

Our goal is to ensure families feel supported, informed, and equipped with meaningful next steps so each student can thrive.

 Our Speech-Language Pathology services support children in developing the communication skills they need to thrive at school, at home, and in social settings. We provide individualized, evidence-based therapy targeting language development, speech clarity, and social communication. Through engaging, structured sessions and a collaborative approach with families, we help children build confidence, strengthen their voice, and connect more meaningfully with the world around them. 

  Occupational Therapy supports children and youth in developing the skills needed for everyday activities, independence, learning, and overall well-being. Occupational Therapists assess and support areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, self-care routines, attention, executive functioning, handwriting, coordination, play, and social participation. Services are individualized and designed to help children successfully engage at home, in school, and in the community while building confidence, independence, and functional life skills through evidence-based, child-centered approaches. 

 Early identification is key to supporting students with dyslexia and other reading-related challenges. Our screening process is designed to identify potential difficulties in reading and language development at an early stage, allowing for timely, targeted intervention.

Following screening, students may receive recommendations for next steps, which could include a referral for a comprehensive psychoeducational assessment for further diagnostic clarification, or direct entry into the Blossom Dyslexia Center for structured literacy intervention.

This process ensures that each learner receives the appropriate level of support, whether that involves formal assessment, targeted intervention, or a combination of both. Our goal is to foster confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and support long-term academic success through early and effective action.

  Navigating the school system can feel overwhelming, especially when families are unsure of what supports or services their child may be entitled to. We are here to help. Our Educational Support Specialist, a Registered Social Worker (RSW), supports families in understanding their options, preparing for school meetings, and advocating effectively for their child’s learning and well-being.

This role is designed to complement school-based services by providing guidance, strategies, and advocacy support while maintaining a collaborative approach with school teams. We work alongside families and educators to promote consistency, clarity, and positive outcomes for students.

Our Educational Support Specialist also supports families in addressing concerns such as bullying. We provide advocacy and guidance to help families understand appropriate next steps, strengthen communication with schools, and work toward effective resolution within the school system.

    Our French Services are designed to support learners in developing confidence and proficiency across all areas of language and numeracy. We offer personalized instruction in reading, writing, and math, along with guided conversation practice to strengthen communication skills in French. Whether students are building foundational skills or advancing their fluency, our targeted, evidence-based approach ensures meaningful progress in a supportive and engaging environment. . 

Our Virtual Learning Services provide flexible, online support across a variety of subject areas to meet each learner’s unique needs. Through personalized instruction and engaging digital tools, we support skill development in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and beyond. Our approach focuses on building understanding, confidence, and independence, helping students succeed in a dynamic and supportive virtual learning environment.
