Amy Anderson and Allie Reddy are experienced educators who have worked for many years supporting neurodivergent learners in a variety of educational settings. Both hold Bachelor’s degrees in Special Education as well as a Master of Special Education, and have extensive experience as Special Educators working with students with diverse learning needs. Their shared passion for literacy led them to deepen their understanding of how children learn to read. Through ongoing research, specialized training, and evidence-based coursework including training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, they have developed strong expertise in structured literacy and reading intervention.
Allie’s commitment to this work is also deeply personal. Her passion grew when her own son was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven, leading her to become a strong advocate for effective, accessible support for students with reading challenges. Amy and Allie are currently Certified Academic Language Therapists (in training) and are committed to bringing high-quality, evidence-based dyslexia intervention to Newfoundland and Labrador, where these specialized supports are greatly needed. Together, Allie and Amy opened Blossom Dyslexia Center as a branch of Blossom Educational Services as they are dedicated to helping students build confidence, develop essential literacy skills, and achieve lasting success.
Blossom Dyslexia Center is a specialized branch of Blossom Educational Services dedicated to helping students with dyslexia and significant reading challenges unlock their potential as confident, capable readers.
Our program is grounded in structured literacy, a proven, evidence-based approach that teaches reading in a clear, systematic, and highly effective way, designed specifically for learners who have not succeeded with traditional methods.
Your child is supported by educators who are Certified Academic Language Therapists (in training). They are actively completing a rigorous, specialized certification program that prepares them to deliver therapeutic, individualized reading intervention for students with dyslexia and significant literacy gaps. This advanced training ensures that instruction is not only highly structured and research-based, but also responsive to each child’s unique learning profile.
At Blossom Dyslexia Center, we go beyond reading instruction and we focus on rebuilding confidence, closing learning gaps, and helping students experience success in a way that finally makes sense to them.
Because every child deserves to feel capable. Every child deserves to read with confidence. And every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
